Objektif utama AlamKita adalah untuk mendedahkan masyarakat Malaysia seperti anda terhadap amalan dan usaha yang boleh dilakukan untuk membantu memelihara dan memulihara alam sekitar. Kami percaya dengan memaparkan maklumat dan informasi mengenai alam sekitar, anda akan mula menyedari betapa mudahnya untuk anda membuat sumbangan dari segi usaha dan amalan ke arah alam sekitar yang lebih baik.

Overview:

'Alam means "flag" or "sign" in Arabic and "nature" in Bahasa Malaysia.

Kita means "we" (inclusive); I and those ones I am addressing to, "us" (inclusive); me and those ones I am addressing to, "our" (inclusive); my and of those ones I am addressing to, and "ours" (if used with a noun) in Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.

Mission:

"Working with the community providing and delivering a Re-use/Recycle Project in order to raise awareness of waste issues by active participation using Social Media".

External Objectives

Objective 1:
Raise awareness on environmental and waste issues throughout the Community by;
1.1 Enabling Community members to actively participate
1.2 Providing information via leaflets and posters
1.3 Encouraging and persuading larger organisations, businesses and individuals to rethink and to re-use/recycle as much as possible

Objective 2:
Address the issue of social exclusion and embrace cultural diversity by;
2.1 Encouraging all within the Community to work together and participate in project activities
2.2 Ensuring equality of opportunity regardless of race, colour, creed or culture
2.3 Fundraising for people in need

Objective 3:
Working in partnership and trust with individuals, groups and organisations across the Community by;
3.1 Encouraging active participation and involvement at all levels within the project
3.2 Offering empowering opportunities for the public in community work and encouraging project volunteers to become more mindful of the “Community Spirit”
3.3 Working closely with Community support workers, groups and individuals.

Internal Objectives

Objective 4:
Demonstrate good environmental practice by;
4.1 Maintaining, monitoring and improving our environmental practices.
